The Kalgidhar Group with its associated companies M/s Kalgidhar Communications (P) Ltd. (KCPL) and M/s Immense Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (ITPL), having its future plans to launch a broadband satellite system that will provide broadcasting as well as high speed internet access to the consumer at a lower cost. The project includes high speed internet, digital phone service, interactive channels, TV channel, and Satellite Master Antenna Television (SMATV) system, which will provide interaction channel, based on two-way satellite link. Using a nationally deployed system of satellites in conjunction with a ground based infrastructure, user will transmit and receive video, audio, multimedia and other digital data hundreds of time faster than over conventional phone lines, at uplink rates 16 Kbps to 16 Mbps. Gateway terminals support even higher data rates. The group will represent the next generation in satellite communication technology, providing  bandwidth on demand, hubless full-mesh networking supporting a wide range of data rates and providing full terrestrial compatibility.
